From $519, Microsoft’s first touchscreen tablet pc houses the sleek new Windows Runtime (RT) platform with live tiles as opposed to static icons, integrated support for Microsoft SkyDrive (online storage and synched info between devices), and a sharp 10.6-inch screen that supports fitted touch covers with built-in keyboards and an optional mouse, if desired. These tablets also boast multiple connectivity options, including a full USB port, microSD slot and mini HDMI port to connect to a television, projector or monitor. Users can download a growing number of apps from the online Windows Store.
